๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž: A total of 66 participants from DOST Regional Offices and Provincial S&T Offices and DOST-attached agencies attended the virtual training โ€œEmpowering DOST Canteen Operators and Staff: Meal Management and Safe Food Handling Trainingโ€. This was conducted by the Department of Science and Technology โ€“ Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI) on February 6, 2025.

The session was streamed via Zoom through the iTrain platform, featuring an engaging seven-hour program designed to equip DOST canteen operators and staff with practical knowledge and skills to enhance meal management and ensure safe food handling practices.

DOST-FNRI resource persons covered topics such as  basic nutrition, meal planning, food buying, food storage, food preparation, food safety, and food costing. The training also had an interactive workshop on preparing a one-day menu.
